Cobb Mixter advises companies on their China strategies, most recently with the Alcoa Corporation in New York City. He was previously an International Affairs Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York and was Managing Director for China Operations and Deputy Assistant Secretary for legislative affairs at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. He was also the senior staff member with responsibility for East Asia and the Pacific at the U.S. House of Representatives, Committee on Foreign Affairs. Prior to his government service, he was an Asia analyst in the Business Intelligence Group at Lehman Brothers, Inc. and a Research Associate for Asia studies at the Council on Foreign Relations. Mr. Mixter is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins-Nanjing Center for Chinese and American Studies and holds a Masters degree in Chinese studies from the University of London, School of Oriental and African Affairs.
