We’re thrilled to announce our new CEO, John L. Holden!
John is a veteran China expert and joins us from Peking University, where he served as Associate Dean and launched the Yenching Academy, a Master’s in China Studies program for select college graduates. He is also a former president of the National Committee on US-China Relations, serving from 1998 to 2005, where he created the US-China Young Leaders Forum and the Foreign Policy Colloquium.
“I’m excited to join the US-China Strong team and to help grow the Foundation and its initiatives to foster more productive relations between future US and Chinese leaders.”
Having lived in Beijing, Hong Kong and Taipei for more than three decades, John knows China inside and out and is fluent in Mandarin. He has also previously served as chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in China’s Board of Governors and is a Nonresident Senior Associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
John will officially start as our new CEO on Oct. 1, taking over for Acting CEO Eugene Huang, who has served in this role since January. We’re honored to have John join us – please help us welcome him to US-China Strong!
Thanks, as always, for your support.
