We are delighted to share an update on our 1 Million Strong implementation partners who have teamed up with the US-China Strong Foundation to help achieve our goal of seeing one million US, K-12 students learning Mandarin by 2020.
Our implementation partners align with one of three categories – curriculum, teacher training and technology – based on their expertise and how they enhance and contribute to 1 Million Strong. Today, we’re showcasing three of our curriculum implementation partners: Better Chinese, NCSSFL, and ACTFL.
Better Chinese promotes Mandarin language learning in non-native Chinese environments through online, mobile, and iPad products, as well as an integrated curriculum that has been incorporated into more than 2,200 schools nationwide. The National Council of State Supervisors for Languages (NCSSFL) and the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) are nationally recognized leaders in providing support to PK-20 language educators, educational institutions and organizations, across the US and internationally. These partners have joined forces to enable Mandarin programs and support Mandarin language learning environments in primary and secondary schools across the country. Most recently, they are working with all the implementation partners to craft a 1 Million Strong strategic plan to align and coordinate goals, actions, and resources.
We’re so excited to continue shaping Mandarin language in the US with Better Chinese, NCSSFL, ACTFL, and all of our implementation partners as we work toward achieving the goals of 1 Million Strong. Thank you to all of our supporters and partners – and be on the lookout for future updates about our teacher training and technology implementation partners!
Thanks, as always, for your support.
