Avonda is the Director of Administration at the US-China Strong Foundation. In her role, she manages daily office operations, vendor relationships, and event planning; oversees the organization’s human resources requirements; advises on resource allocations needs for the Foundation’s initiatives; and engages in basic finance-related tasks. She also serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors. Prior to this role, Avonda held the position of Special Assistant to the CEO and President at the Foundation.
She attended the George Washington University as a Stephen Joel Trachtenberg Scholar where she earned a B.A. in Chinese Language and Literature and International Affairs. Her passion for Chinese language and culture started when she took her first Chinese class her freshman year of college and decided to improve her language skills by studying abroad for two semesters her junior year at the Associated Colleges in China program at Minzu University in Beijing, China.
