Samri is the Communications and Project Associate at the US-China Strong Foundation. In her role, she manages the Student Ambassador Program, liaises with the Foundation’s Signature Partners, and oversees communications strategy development and implementation across the Foundation’s digital platforms.
Samri began her journey to the East in the summer of 2015 when she was selected to become a member of the inaugural cohort of the Yenching Academy of Peking University. A student of political science and international relations, Samri has had a longstanding appreciation for the significance of the US-China bilateral relationship and China’s growing influence in the world more broadly. Her affinity for language learning and love of the world’s cultures led her to embrace the challenge of learning Mandarin.
Samri received her B.A. from Stanford University’s Department of Political Science with coursework at the University of Oxford’s Department of International Development. She received her Master’s in China Studies/Politics and International Relations from Peking University.
